What is American Humanics ?

American Humanics is a national alliance of college and universities, national non-profits, and collaborating professional organizations. Established in 1948, American Humanics is the only national organization devoted to preparing students for careers in nonprofit organizations. AH has created partnerships with over 75 colleges and universities and is strongly supported by several national nonprofit organizations.  SDSU joined American Humanics in 2003 and is the only university in South Dakota to offer an American Humanics certificate program.

AH is the only national organization that prepares nonprofit professionals for the challenges that face them. Dedicated to providing certification and preparation for undergraduate students, American Humanics helps build a strong foundation for the future success of the nonprofit sector.

A foundation of comprehensive and practical certification competencies gives American Humanics graduates the strong, yet flexible, preparation they need to face new challenges and opportunities in a changing world.
