2006 Fishback Center for Early Childhood Education Staff 1. Mrs. Laura Gloege is the mentor teacher for the morning 4 and 5 year-old classroom. She lives in Brookings, SD with her husband Chad. Laura has a B.S. degree in Early Childhood Education from SDSU, a B.S. degree in Elementary Education from DSU, and an M.S. degree in Child and Family Studies (with an emphasis on Early Childhood Education and Literacy) from SDSU. She enjoyed teaching Kindergarten for three years and now she is an instructor in the department of Human Development, Consumer & Family Sciences (Early Childhood Education Major). Her favorite foods are ice cream, pizza, and Guadalajara's. Mrs. Gloege enjoys reading, spending time with her family and friends, and collecting children's books.

Ms. Rachel Schumacher is a four and five-old afternoon mentor teacher. She grew up in Volga, South Dakota with her mom Linda, her dad Chris, and her brother Nathan. Ms. Schumacher graduated from SDSU in May 2005 with a degree in ECE (B-8). She is currently working on her masters as a Child and Family Studies Specialist. During her free time, Ms. Schumacher enjoys four wheeling, eating Chinese food (her favorite food!), traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
3. Mrs. Jennifer Kampmann is the mentor teacher for the afternoon 3 and 4 year-old classroom. She lives in Elkton, SD with her husband Tony and her two daughters, Emma-4 and Shelby-9. She also has a menagerie of animals running around the house! Mrs. Jennifer Kampmann is an instructor in the department of Human Development, Consumer & Family Sciences (Early Childhood Education Major), an M.S. in Human Development, Child & Family Studies (Early Childhood emphasis), and she is currently close to halfway done on her Doctorate in Curriculum & Instruction from USD. She is very excited for this year to get underway so she can work more closely with the children and families in the lab school.

Mrs. Deb Schaefer works in the kitchen for the SDSU Preschool and Kindergarten. Her husband Rod and her have three grown children. Mrs. Schaefer enjoys spending time here with the students of all ages, college and preschool. She also has a daycare in here home and loves spending time with the children. Cooking, crafting, gardening, and spending time with her friends and family are just some of her hobbies.

Carrie teaches in the preschool here at SDSU. She was born and raised in Bristol, SD. She has a Bachelors of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences with a specialization in Early Childhood Education (birth to 8). She is currently working toward her Masters in Child and Family Studies. Carrie's family includes her Mom, Dad, 4 older brothers, 3 older sisters, 20 nieces and nephews, 1 great nephew and 1 great niece. Her favorite foods are pasta, chicken, and potatoes. Some of Carrie's favorite things are scrap booking, doing crafts, being outside and spending time with her friends and family.
